Deputies: Trio of armed intruders storms Orange County apartment

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Three armed men burst into an apartment early Thursday in the Sky Lake neighborhood, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

Three men who live at the Lancaster Villa apartments on West Lancaster Road near Winegard Road said they were asleep at about 2 a.m. when the intruders kicked in the door, Orange County Lt. Kyle Morse said.

"The suspects entered the residence armed with handguns," Morse said. "The suspects stole property and fled the residence."

No one was injured during the home invasion, which remains under investigation.

No other details were given.
