Deputies: Body found along road in Osceola County

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A body was found Wednesday morning in a rural area on a road near Kissimmee, the Osceola County Sheriff's Office said.

The man’s body was found about 5:30 a.m. off Boggy Creek Road near High Plains Lane, deputies said.

Investigators said the death is suspicious, but that it appears to be an “isolated incident.”

They are not sure if the man, who has not been identified, died on the roadway or if his body was dumped.

“We thought something was going on with the development and land across the street,” said nearby resident Shane Platter.

The cause of death remains under investigation.

No other details were given.
