Possible grenade reported outside Orlando home

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police and firefighters reported to a home on Corrine Drive near Bumby Avenue around noon Thursday after reports of a possible grenade.

Police shut down Corrine Drive while the Orlando Fire Department investigated the report.

Skywitness 9 HD was overhead as a small item was picked up from the yard, placed in a box and then into a truck.

The scene was cleared around 12:30 p.m. and traffic began moving through the area again.

Several units from the Orlando Fire Department, as well as Orlando police, were on the scene.

Officials have not said what they picked up from the yard.
