Graduates are able to drive around town and find the banner with their face on it thank to the efforts of Timothy Totten.

“My company, Celebrating Heroes, makes banners for military veterans all over the country,” Totten said. “And when I saw there was a need to honor our Lake County graduates, I thought immediately, ‘Let’s make them each a banner to honor their big accomplishment of graduating high school.’”

While his goal was first to just honor Eustis students, word of his efforts spread across the county.

"We are just over 2,400 graduates that we have made a banner for every single one of them,” he said.

Totten said he is accepting donations for the banners, but in the meantime, he is putting up the money himself to pay for them.
