Arrest made in Daytona Beach woman's killing, police say

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Officers with the Daytona Beach Police Department announced Thursday that an arrest was made after a woman’s body was found Sunday in a park.

Two kids found 31-year-old Jessica Raver’s body near the fields in Derbyshire Park around 2 p.m. Sunday.

Donnie Glenn was arrested Thursday morning.

Police said Glenn ran over Raver with her own vehicle Saturday night. The car was later found abandoned in a ditch in Ormond Beach, police said.

"Jessica did not deserve this. We just hope Jessica is in a better place right now," neighbor JoAnn McLaughlin told Channel 9's Mike Springer.

Police said the two knew each other, but did not release details of their relationship, but said drugs may have played a factor.

Surveillance video showed a third person was at the park at the time of the killing, police said, but investigators wouldn't release any more information.

Glenn has close to 20 felony arrests on his criminal record. Six of them have led to convictions.
