Accused Volusia County child molester facing new charge

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — An accused child molester in Volusia County is facing a new charge after another young victim came forward.

It marks Nathan Gorzelanczyk’s third arrest.

Four young boys ranging in age from 11 to 14 told detectives they were molested by Gorzelanczyk.

The suspect was known to have had boys in his home and to have had contact with many other children through his former job at the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home and through volunteer activities at churches and with the Guardian ad Litem program.

Gorzelanczyk was arrested on Dec. 6 and rearrested on Dec. 10.

At the time of his second arrest, he had been released on bond, but after the third victim came forward, he was jailed again on a $500,000 bond.

He’s now being held without bond until his next court date.

Deputies believe more victims may come forward.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call law enforcement.
