Sumter County Fire Rescue got the call Tuesday morning about the crash in Lake Panasoffkee.
Greek also said that a second boat from the tour company went out to help at the crash scene and was coming in with the victims as rescuers arrived.
The boat was part of Tom and Jerry's Air Boat Tours.
Greek said of the 15 people on the boat, 14 were injured, two were in critical condition and three were in moderate condition. The others were not seriously injured, Greek said.
“Two were critical, three were moderate and the rest were all walking wounded,” said Greek.
One person was airlifted to a hospital and several others were transported by ambulance.
There were no fatalities.
“(The crash) could have been a lot more serious,” Greek said.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Coast Guard are investigating to figure out what went wrong.
Workers of the tour boat company did not want to comment.
